2022: Our Year in Review

This has been another challenging year for child nutrition programs, from supply chain and staffing issues to shifting emergency rules at the federal level. Thankfully, North Carolina is filled with dedicated people who are fighting hunger through schools, community programs, churches, and more.

Our team at the Carolina Hunger Initiative is proud to be increasing access to healthy food for North Carolinians and supporting those people on the front lines of making sure kids have the food they need to thrive. We are based at the UNC Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention, where we also work through No Kid Hungry NC, a partnership between UNC and Share Our Strength’s national No Kid Hungry campaign.

And THANK YOU for the role you play in fighting child hunger in North Carolina.
